Description

SS cartridge filter housing Oman: the SATEPA Cartridge Filter Housing from SATEPA Srl, Italy, is built for RO pre-filtration, pool systems and industrial water lines. These AISI 304 stainless steel housings hold 3 to 7 cartridges of 20″, 30″ or 40″ length and handle 15 to 44 m³/h (66 to 196 GPM), with a V-clamp or swing bolt closure for quick cartridge change.

SATEPA has designed UV electronics since 2007 and manufactures UV sterilizers from 0 to 600 m³/h in Bologna, Italy, using its own ballasts and controllers. UV Water Systems supplies, installs and services SATEPA equipment across the Sultanate.

How the SATEPA Cartridge Filter Housing Works

Water enters the housing, passes from the outside to the inside of the filter elements and leaves through the central outlet. Suspended solids, sand, rust and other particles stay trapped in the media. As the element loads, differential pressure rises; when it reaches about 1 bar above the clean value, the element is changed through the quick-open lid without removing the housing from the line.

Applications in Oman

  • Pre-filtration ahead of commercial and industrial RO plants
  • Polishing after sand and multimedia filters
  • Pool and fountain filtration
  • Process water in food, beverage and chemical plants

Choosing the Right Model

Model selection depends on peak flow rate, the amount of suspended solids, the micron rating you need and the operating pressure. In Oman, well and tanker water often carries sand, silt and rust, so a coarser first stage protects finer filters and RO membranes downstream. Send us your flow rate and application and our engineers will recommend the housing size and filter media. Learn more about water filtration.

Installation and Maintenance

  • Install after pre-filtration, with a bypass line and isolation valves for service
  • Replace UV lamps every 9,000 hours (14,000 hours for amalgam), about once a year in continuous use
  • Clean the quartz sleeve every 3 to 6 months, more often with hard water
  • Keep the controller and ballast in a dry, ventilated place
