The FRP membrane pressure vessel is the component that holds and pressurises 4-inch RO membrane elements, converting applied hydraulic pressure into purified water across the membrane surface. Why an FRP Membrane Pressure Vessel Suits Oman Water Conditions
Oman groundwater typically runs 500–2,000+ ppm TDS, and coastal humidity with high airborne chloride attacks metal housings within a few years. An FRP membrane pressure vessel removes that failure mode entirely. Against an equivalent stainless steel membrane housing it weighs roughly half as much, costs less, and will not pit or rust at the port threads where SS housings usually fail first. This is why fibreglass is the standard choice for commercial and industrial brackish water RO worldwide.
The side-port layout lets you load membrane elements from either end while permeate exits mid-vessel. In a multi-vessel skid this shortens the permeate manifold run and makes the plumbing far easier to lay out than end-port alternatives.

Scope of Supply

Installation and Maintenance
Mount horizontally on saddles with clear access at both ends for element removal. Feed water must be pre-filtered to 5 micron. Inspect O-rings at every membrane change, typically every 2 to 3 years on brackish water, and replace brine seals at the same interval. How do I unload membranes from a side-port vessel?
Remove the end caps, disassemble the interconnectors and brine seals, then slide the elements out for inspection or replacement. Our technicians handle this on service contracts.
Will this FRP membrane pressure vessel handle seawater RO?
No. 300 psi is a brackish water rating. Seawater RO needs a high-pressure FRP SWRO vessel, which we also stock.
