Absolute FK units use ECOMIX A, Ecosoft’s patented NSF/ANSI 44/61/372 certified multi-component media, to reduce iron, hardness, manganese, ammonium and organic matter in one tank.

How the Absolute FK Iron & Hardness Reduction Filter (ECOMIX A) Works
ECOMIX A is a blend of ion exchange resins and special media. In one pass it softens the water and removes dissolved iron, manganese and ammonium, which normally need separate filters. The Clack valve regenerates the media with ordinary salt brine, just like a softener, so there are no extra chemicals to handle. This makes it a good single-unit solution for brown, smelly or staining well water.
