FRP pressure vessel Oman: the Alfa Aerosol FRP Pressure Vessel from Sahara Industry, India, is built for water softeners, sand filters, carbon filters, iron removal and mixed bed units. The range runs from size 635 (14.5 litres) to size 6386 (3,200 litres), with a polyethylene inner liner and fibreglass reinforced shell, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified and CE marked.
Sahara Industry has made water treatment components since 1989 and manufactures the Alfa Aerosol range in its own ISO 9001 certified factories. UV Water Systems supplies these products across the Sultanate with sizing support and after-sales service from Muscat.
How the Alfa Aerosol FRP Pressure Vessel Works
The polyethylene liner holds the water and media, so nothing touches the fibreglass layer, and the FRP winding carries the pressure. Unlike steel tanks, the vessel cannot rust and does not grow algae. Each unit is pressure checked before dispatch, designed with a 4:1 safety factor, a minimum burst pressure of 600 psi, and tested to 250,000 cycles without leakage.

Vessel size depends on flow rate, media type and the volume of resin or media needed. Installation and Maintenance
- Backwash filters regularly so media does not compact
- Do not exceed 150 psi or 49°C
- Install on a level base and protect from direct sun
- Replace media as recommended: sand 3–5 years, carbon 1–2 years, resin 5–7 years
