Description

The Microfilter Fluux FX is a commercial water filter Oman restaurants, cafés and hotel kitchens can fit into tight under-counter space. One cartridge handles sediment removal, carbon filtration and 0.1 micron ultrafiltration, so you get bacteria-free, better-tasting water for combi ovens, ice makers and beverage lines without stacking three separate housings under the sink.
Why a commercial water filter Oman kitchens trust has to do more than filter sediment
Municipal supply across Muscat is chlorinated, and chlorine carries straight into the taste of coffee, tea, soup stock and ice. Stored roof tanks and long summer stagnation add a second problem: bacterial regrowth between the meter and the tap. The Fluux FX 0.1 micron UF membrane physically blocks bacteria including E. coli, while the carbon block strips chlorine taste and odour. Nothing is added to the water, and no electricity or drain connection is required.
Features and benefits
- 4-step all-in-one cartridge — sediment, carbon block, 0.1 micron UF membrane and optional polyphosphate scale control in a single body.
- 0.1 micron UF membrane — removes bacteria and cysts by physical barrier, not chemistry.
- Roughly 10% higher capacity than comparable market cartridges, and around 7% better chlorine reduction.
- Food-grade, rust-proof housing with a 5.6 mm reinforced wall and antimicrobial protection.
- 75 mm easy-grip diameter and a compatible filter key structure — cartridge changes take a minute.
- Universal connection fitting standard commercial head assemblies.
- NSF, WRAS and Halal certified, made in Korea.
- Available in 15″, 17″ and 21″ lengths to match your flow rate and service interval.

Why buy from UV Water Systems
We have supplied and serviced commercial water treatment across the Sultanate of Oman for more than 14 years, with clients including hospitals, oil and gas facilities, international schools and coffee chains. Every unit is installed by our own technicians in Muscat, and we hold replacement cartridges in stock so a service call never turns into a two-week wait. UV Water Systems is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
Scope of supply and installation
Supplied as a complete filter head and cartridge assembly. Requires a cold water feed at minimum 1.5 bar pressure and a shut-off valve upstream. We recommend flushing the cartridge for two minutes at every change and keeping a spare on site during Ramadan and peak season, when duty hours double. Standard warranty covers the head assembly against manufacturing defects.
If you are comparing options for a commercial water filter Oman-wide, our team can test your feed water and confirm whether the FX alone is enough or whether a softener should sit ahead of it.

Choosing the right commercial water filter Oman sites need
Which commercial water filter Oman sites should fit depends on the feed water. Where limescale is damaging boilers and espresso groups, put softening in front with the Microfilter Fluux VH IEN ion exchange cartridge. Where hot water scale and taste are the issue rather than bacteria, the Microfilter Fluux HF 17 carbon block filter is the cheaper fit. Certification marks quoted here can be checked with NSF International.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need a drain or power supply?
No. Ultrafiltration works on line pressure alone, so there is no drain line, no pump and no electricity bill, unlike reverse osmosis.
Which cartridge length should I order?
15″ for single coffee machines and light duty, 17″ for busy cafés and combi ovens, 21″ where daily volume is high or you want longer intervals between changes. We size it against your actual draw when we survey the site.
Does it remove TDS or hardness?
No. It removes bacteria, cysts, sediment and chlorine taste. If your water is hard or high in TDS, we add a softener or an RO unit upstream.
Buying guide: sizing a commercial water filter Oman wide
Cartridge choice comes down to three numbers. Daily litres through the equipment sets the capacity. Feed water quality, which we measure on site, decides whether ultrafiltration alone is enough. Available height under the counter decides whether you can run the 21 inch body or have to stay at 15 inch and change more often.
A single café with two group heads and an ice maker is usually well served by a 17 inch FX. A hotel pantry feeding a combi oven, a bean-to-cup machine and a post-mix line needs either the 21 inch or two heads on a manifold, so flow does not drop during the breakfast rush.
Every commercial water filter Oman installation we complete includes a commissioning record, the change date marked on the housing, and a reminder from our service desk before it falls due. Filters fail from being forgotten far more often than from being undersized.
What the Fluux FX does not do
It is not a softener and it is not reverse osmosis. It will not reduce hardness or TDS, so on hard feed the boiler still scales. A commercial water filter Oman buyers were told would fix everything is the usual reason we are called out to a scaled machine six months later. Where hardness is the problem, we put an ion exchange cartridge in front of it.
