Why treatment order matters
Chilled, hot and sparkling dispensing all sit downstream of the RO, and that sequence is the whole engineering point. Untreated Muscat water fed straight to a chiller tank scales it within months. Fed to a boiler, it scales the element. Fed to a carbonator, it tastes flat and the CO2 dissolves inconsistently because dissolved solids change how the water carries gas. Removing hardness and TDS first protects every piece of dispensing equipment and gives the same taste at all twelve units.

Hygiene and standards
Treated water stored in a chiller tank can pick up bacteria if the tank is never sanitised, which is the most common hygiene failure we find on dispensers installed by others. We sanitise tanks and lines on a fixed schedule and record TDS at each visit. Potable quality is measured against Oman Standard OS 8 and the WHO guidelines for drinking water quality.
Servicing drinking water dispensers in Oman
Cartridges every three to six months in Oman conditions, membranes every two to three years, tank and line sanitisation at least annually, and a written service report per visit. Multi-site contracts run on a fixed calendar so replacements happen before performance drops rather than after someone complains about the taste.

Do RO dispensers waste water?
Some water goes to drain by design. On a correctly set unit the reject ratio is modest, and it is far less than the water used to produce, fill and transport bottles.
Can sparkling water be added to an existing unit?
Often yes, provided there is space for the CO2 cylinder and the RO has capacity for the extra draw.
How many people can one dispenser serve?
