The Vulcan electronic anti-scale system is a German-made, chemical-free way to control limescale in cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers and process pipework. UV Water Systems supplies and installs the full Vulcan 48 Volt range across Muscat and the rest of Oman, from small villa lines up to 40-inch industrial headers.

Oman’s groundwater and tanker water carry high hardness and TDS, and cooling towers concentrate those minerals with every cycle. The result is scale on condenser tubes, blocked fill packs and rising power bills. An electronic anti-scale system in Oman keeps those minerals in suspension, so they leave with the blowdown instead of sticking to hot surfaces.

How the Vulcan Electronic Anti-Scale System Works

Impulse bands wrapped around the pipe send a modulated electrical signal into the water. Calcium and magnesium form small, stable crystals that stay in the flow rather than bonding to pipe walls and heat-exchange surfaces. No pipe cutting, no salt and no dosing chemicals are needed. Minerals stay in the water, which is why Vulcan is not a water softener.

Features and Benefits

Gently reduces existing scale deposits in pipes and cooling tower fill
Lets the tower run at higher cycles of concentration, cutting blowdown and make-up water
Reduces or replaces scale-inhibitor chemical dosing
Helps reduce bacteria and biofilm on wetted surfaces
Installs on the outside of the pipe in about an hour, with no downtime
Works on iron, copper, stainless steel, PVC, PE-X and composite pipes
Maintenance-free electronics, fully cast in acrylic
25-year international manufacturer warranty, UL, CE and TÜV GS marked

Applications in Oman

Open-circuit cooling towers in hotels, malls, hospitals and office towers
Chillers, evaporative condensers and plate heat exchangers
Injection moulding, induction hardening and other process cooling lines
Hot water lines and villa main water inlets (Vulcan 3000 / 5000)

For cooling towers, fit the unit on the circulation line just before the heat exchanger and keep a regular basin drain or a centrifugal separator to remove the loosened solids. Read our guide on cooling tower scale treatment in Oman for sizing tips and field results.
