Installation, replacement and warranty

Fit the ScaleStick into a compatible IMF housing on the cold feed ahead of the equipment. If you are using a current SR-X housing, add the spacer so the cartridge seats correctly. Flush briefly after fitting, then check the machine’s water path is clear before returning it to service.

Service life depends on water volume and hardness rather than a fixed gallon rating, which is why the translucent body is useful. In typical Muscat conditions we recommend inspecting monthly and replacing every 6 months. On very hard supply, pairing the ScaleStick with a softener upstream gives the best protection. No. It inhibits scale formation by sequestering hardness so it stays dissolved. If you need hardness actually removed, use a softener or a Claris-type ion exchange cartridge.

Will it fit my existing housing?
