Seawater Desalination System (SWRO) – 10 m³/day

SWRO seawater desalination system producing 10 m³/day of potable water from Gulf of Oman seawater. High-pressure 1,000 psi vessels, SWRO membranes, 55–70 bar operation. Coastal Oman applications. UV Water Systems, Muscat.

Description

007 | UV Water Systems Oman

Oman’s 3,165-kilometre coastline offers an almost limitless water source — provided you have the right technology to convert Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea seawater into something safe to drink. The 10 m³/day SWRO system from UV Water Systems Muscat is designed for coastal resorts, private villas, fishing villages, and island communities where groundwater is unavailable or severely saline.

Why This Matters for Oman Water Quality

Seawater in the Gulf of Oman averages 38,000–42,000 mg/L TDS — roughly 8–10 times higher than the worst brackish groundwater. To push pure water through an RO membrane against this osmotic pressure requires 55–70 bar operating pressure. This demands dedicated SWRO membranes with reinforced glue lines, high-pressure stainless steel pumps, and 1,000 psi-rated pressure vessels. UV Water Systems never repurposes brackish equipment for seawater service — this causes catastrophic failure within weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t standard brackish RO equipment be used for seawater? Brackish RO operates at 10–15 bar. Seawater requires 55–70 bar. Membranes, pumps, vessels, and valves rated for brackish duty will fail catastrophically in seawater service, often within weeks. UV Water Systems specifies only purpose-built SWRO components for all seawater projects.

Can I run this on solar power at a remote coastal site? Yes — UV Water Systems designs solar-SWRO hybrid systems for remote coastal sites. A variable frequency drive adapts pump speed to available solar irradiance. Call +968 9763 7786 for a solar-powered SWRO package.

Do you deliver and install across Oman? Yes — UV Water Systems covers all Muscat governorate areas and ships products and spare parts to all wilayats in Oman. Call +968 9763 7786 or email sales@waterfilteroman.com.
